Do you work hard, set goals and even use affirmations to manifest your desires but it doesn’t seem to work?
It gets very frustrating when you put so much effort but still it doesn’t give you the results.
Why does that even happen?
We’ve been told that if you work hard in life, you will get what you want but this phrase doesn’t seem to be true in real life.
The truth is your subconscious is running behind some beliefs and patterns which might be working against you, which are blocking your success.

WHAT ARE SUBCONSCIOUS BLOCKS?
Subconscious blocks are the deep rooted limiting beliefs and patterns that hinder your growth and success.
These beliefs operate below your level of awareness and because of this you don’t even know why something is going wrong in your life on the surface level.
Subconscious blocks can literally affect everything and anything in your life whether it’s your relationships, career or money even including your self worth, confidence, self trust and so much more.
In fact, the way you operate and behave in your life on an everyday basis are built on the basis of these subconscious blocks.
You can think of them as a program running behind that can affect your thoughts, reactions, behaviours and ultimately your reality.
SIGNS YOU HAVE SUBCONSCIOUS BLOCKS
A few signs to understand if you have subconscious blocks are;
- You self sabotage yourself
- You’re repeating patterns in your life (love, career, money, etc.)
- You get triggered in certain situations or by certain words/places
- You procrastinate a lot
- You feel not enough or unworthy
- You don’t trust yourself or have trust issues with others
- You have anxiety around ‘success, love or money’
- You may manifest things but also lose them quickly
- You’re desperate for attention, love, money, etc.
WHERE DO SUBCONSCIOUS BLOCKS COME FROM?
Subconscious blocks may form because of a lot reasons, and a few of these could be;
- Childhood experiences or trauma
- Past failures
- Rejections
- Generational cycle or trauma
- Cultural conditioning
- Unprocessed emotions like shame, guilt or fear
- Authoritative voices (parents, caretaker, teacher or even society)
These experiences may create limiting beliefs such as:
- “Money doesn’t grow on trees”
- “Rich people are greedy and bad”
- “I’m not good enough because…”
- “I’m not lovable”
- Success comes with sacrifice”
And so much more
You carry these beliefs subconsciously.
I was just listening to a podcast today and the hypnotherapist in it was saying that it takes at least 3 similar situations to actually create a belief.
For example, if as a child you did not score well in an exam and you were scolded for it and told you can’t do anything.
Then, the second time; you were carrying a glass of water and you accidently dropped it and your parent said, “you can’t even handle a glass, you’re good for nothing”.
Then, next time; you’re being compared to some other child and told to learn something from them, they’re the topper, what are you! You can’t do anything well, so average!.
After all this, you finally start feeling that you’re good for nothing. You can neither top the class, or score well or do simple things and it becomes a belief system, “I’m not good enough”
You keep on carrying these beliefs until you clear them consciously.
These beliefs and patterns have power over only until you don’t know them.
But the moment you realise, acknowledge and work on them, they start fading away and the real YOU starts to shine.
HOW TO IDENTIFY THESE SUBCONSCIOUS BLOCKS?
As I said earlier, the first step is awareness. So you have to ask yourself these questions:
- What area of life am I stuck in or feel unhappy in?
- What is it that is making me feel stuck or unhappy?
- Is there a pattern that I see repeating in my life?
- Does this pattern relate to my family or am I carrying it from my childhood experience?
- What do I feel about myself in that area?
- Why do I believe this?

7 POWERFUL TECHNIQUES TO RELEASE THESE SUBCONSCIOUS BLOCKS
1. JOURNALING AND SHADOW WORK
Well, this is my favorite way and also how I tried to remove my subconscious blocks so I always recommend this first to my clients and even my friends.
Journaling can really bring out the hidden aspects/shadow self of you that you didn’t even know exist.
It can help you understand and process your emotions that you never did earlier.
It broadens your perspective about yourself and the world.
Journaling is the silent communication that you do with your inner self which doesn’t talk to anyone but you when you start listening to it.
It gives you all the answers that you were searching for outside of you.
So, do shadow work with journaling to remove subconscious blocks of yours
2. INNER CHILD HEALING
With inner child healing, you can not only connect with the younger version of yourself but also offer it compassion, understanding and care that it never received.
Here, you become your own parent and you let the younger self heal through acknowledgment.

For example, when you say to your inner child, “ I see you, I feel you, I understand the pain that you had to go through and you did not have anyone to hold your hands and give you a hug. I’m there for you now. I’m supporting you. You’re safe now.”
Just these words are so powerful to help your younger self heal. Try it today.
You can even use the Ho’oponopono prayer to heal your inner child.
Which goes like, “I’m sorry, please forgive me, thankyou, I love you”
When you heal your inner child, you stop reacting or behaving from a wounded place and start acting as your whole, empowered self.
Healing your inner child thus helps you to remove subconscious blocks
3. AFFIRMATIONS AND SUBCONSCIOUS PROGRAMMING
Affirmations are not just “positive thinking” but when used correctly they can actually help you reprogram your subconscious brain.
In the beginning, it is difficult to believe what you’re saying and especially if it’s too far away from reality.
For example, if you say; “I’m a millionaire”
And you don’t even have $10 in your pocket and you hardly earn $500 from your new found business, your mind is not going to believe in it.
Instead you can say something like, “I’m earning $2000 every month from my business” if let’s say; you’re only earning $500 right now.
And then slowly, when you reach that level you can increase that to $5000, then $10,000, then $25000 and so on.
Combine your affirmations with feelings and visualization.

Affirmations is actually a really powerful way to remove your subconscious blocks and patterns when used smartly.
4. MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
Meditation is a powerful tool for anything and everything in your life once you understand its power.
Meditation not only helps you become self aware but also heals you on so many levels.
When you meditate regularly, you will actually be able to clear the noise that your conscious mind creates everyday and actually open the doors of your subconscious brain for you.
Meditation combined with visualisation adds power by engaging your imagination which your brain actually uses to build reality.
How to do it:
Sit in silence and breathe deeply to put your body in a state of calm
Once you body is relaxed, visualize the life you desire.
If you want more money, visualize checking your bank account and money being deposited in it every time you check.
Engage all your senses, what do you feel, see and hear?
Anchor the feelings of joy, safety and peace
Your brain doesn’t know the difference between imagined and real, so the more you practice this, the more it will feel this to be true.
The more you embody the feeling of this new imagined reality, the more your subconscious starts believing in it and the faster it will brings proofs in your life to make it true, thus helping you remove subconscious blocks
5. BREATH WORK AND ENERGY HEALING
A lot of your blocks are actually stored energetically in your body. You can think your way out of some blocks but some blocks have to be released energetically.
A few ways to release them could be;
- Breath Work: Using conscious breathing youre able to connect to deep seated emotions and when they come up, you can release them whether through crying, screaming or shaking your body.
- Chakra Healing: Focusing on specific chakras to heal related issues for example; root chakra for money issues, heart chakra for relationship issues, etc.
- Reiki Healing: You can either work with a healer or learn Reiki level I and II for self healing to release stuck energies from your body.
6. HYPNOTHERAPY OR NLP
These tools can help you access your subconscious mind directly to remove the old beliefs and install the new empowering ones
It’s always best to work with a professional for these sessions but you can also find them on youtube or apps like mindvalley.
These methods work because they help you surpass your logical brain and help you work directly with that part of the brain who is actually running all the programs on the back end.
7. EMBODIED ACTION
Building new beliefs are powerful but aligning them with action can truly be magical.
When you do something that challenges your old beliefs that actually creates your new reality.
This could be:
- Posting online even if you feel under confident
- Asking for more money even when you feel you’re unworthy or you’re undercharged
- Saying NO in close relationships when you need your own space and time
Taking action from your new identity tells your subconscious, “this is who I am from now”
The more you align your actions and behavior with new formed beliefs, the faster your reality shifts.
Your subconscious blocks are not flaws but they were protective patterns and coping mechanisms created in the past to help you survive.
But now you’re awakening and ready to become the better version of you.
And the only to be that is working through your blocks.
Releasing these subconscious blocks is truly the key to your authentic self, abundance and happiness in life.
