WHAT IS LITHA?

The Summer Solstice, Litha is also known as Midsummer and falls on June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s the longest day of the year and the shortest night- the moment when the power of Sun God is at its full power.

Litha is a festival of fire, the vibrant solar energy which gives us the invitation to celebrate joy, abundance and transformation in our lives.

EASY RITUALS TO CELEBRATE LITHA- THE SUMMER SOLSTICE

1. OFFERING WATER & GRATITUDE SUN RITUAL

Litha is all about the Sun, offering it water is a vedic ritual. Though Sun represents Fire, offering water represents as a gesture of balance between water and fire.

Water is a symbol of surrender & devotion in Hindu rituals and offering it upwards(usually from a copper vessel) while chanting mantras is an act of gratitude and respect for the Sun’s life-giving energies.

Also when the sunlight passes through the water being offered acts a natural prism which provides us healing rays, energy to our body, cleanses our aura and strengthens our eyesight and circadian rhythm.

2. SOLAR CANDLE SPELL FOR EMPOWERMENT

Fire is the key element of Litha and you can use it to increase your inner power.
